Our Vision
To share love with the less fortunate. “The gift is in the giving,” it is self-enriching and shows compassion. A genuine act of love may change the course of the recipients’ lives. Your support will bring joy and happiness into the lives of the less fortunate.
Our Mission
We provide the less fortunate and deserving men, women, & children in NYC, NY, & NJ with backpacks filled with the bare essentials: Snacks, Bottled Water, Sanitary/Hygiene Products, Non-perishable Foods, Clothes, Blankets, and MORE! We encourage you to MAKE IT YOUR OWN…WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE THEM TO HAVE? Every backpack will have a handwritten note of encouragement with a first name so they have someone to be grateful for and the feeling of HOPE. We give a list of free resources so they can CHANGE, and with our motto JL=JUST LOVE, we spread the message that when you share love, more love comes back, so they have LIFE!! This will continue to be the standard on all the backpacks we hand out!

Backpack recipients, Brenda & Sam, New York City
In our first year of JL Blessings, we aimed to provide 25 backpacks to the homeless people in NYC. We purchased 25 backpacks and asked the local community to help fill them with the bare essentials. We received an overwhelming response and people were GIVING filled backpacks, products, empty backpacks, and more. We surpassed our goal and handed out 123 filled backpacks! For our second year, the goal was to give out 500 backpacks, again to be given out in NYC & Newark, NJ. We received an even greater overwhelming response and collected 453 backpacks, plus tons of products. Volunteers were told, “the goal of 500 is a benchmark. To surpass it would be a bonus, but the goal is to give true blessings for anyone in need. If we make a difference in one person’s life, we’ve succeeded.” With this mentality, volunteers and the local communities gathered and handed out 230 Blessings in NYC and 223 Blessings in Newark, NJ. Collectively, we ALL helped the less fortunate tremendously and gave them hope.
